Med Cruise
I have just come home from a fantastic MSC Cruise aboard MSC Lirica.
The ship was lovely, with a very elegant and luxurious feel a really good comparison to a 5* hotel. My favorite place being the Beverley Hills Bar in the afternoon! The staff were excellent right through from our cabin steward through to the friendly bar staff, nothing is too much trouble.
We had an outside cabin, which was bigger than I thought it would be which was a pleasant surprise. The food on board was themed around your ports of call in the evenings but there was something for all tastes.
It was a little strange as MSC is an Italian cruise line, so the clients were mainly European. However don't worry as English was the main language used on board and we sat at a table of 6 for dinner all English guests.
I have had a great time, the entertainment was of a good standard and catered for all on board. There are a few hints and tips I would pass on, such as you can pre book your drinks in the UK. This at the moment is much cheaper than buying on board with the current Euro exchange rates. You can also order free continental breakfast to your cabin as this service is included in your cruise cost. You can also eat in all of the al a carte dining rooms free too for all meals. Also definitely do the express check in on-line, you register your passport details on-line with MSC and you will get priorty boarding on the cruise ship at your embarkation port, so no hanging around. Once you arrive at the port you go to the express check in desk and then go straight on board the ship.
All in all I have had a great holiday and will be re-booking for next year as MSC are great value for money and have excellent service and surroundings too.
