Tropical island beach holiday in Mauritius

We wanted a beach holiday in a dream location and Mauritius met our expectations. Our apartment was new, spacious, only a minutes walk from an amazing beach and great value at £25 a night! It was in the grounds of a friendly and helpful Mauritian/English family home, set in its own garden. Mon Choisy district is unspoiled and lovely but with all the amenities. It was only a minutes walk from a gorgeous beach, lined with a forest so there was always shelter from the sun. The beach was about two miles long, so although there were plenty of other tourists there was plenty of space, but lots to do and see at the weekend when the locals all came to picnic and have events and festivals. We hired a jeep and drove around for two days, there was remarkable variety of scenery for a small island. The people were friendly and it felt safe. Eating out was so cheap we did it every night. Mauritius is surprising in its environments and culture and we'd love to return there and stay at the same apartment again. The apartment website is www.mauritiusapartment.co.uk

Beautiful Maurtius

Mauritius wow, what a beautiful island,we travelled for a action packed romatic getaway and got both.We travelled with Air Maurutius which I would reccommend with comftalbe seating and very good inhouse entertainment. We booked with Beachcomber tours and from the moment we arrived they could not do enought for us.We had a private trasfer to the hotel and apon arrival recieved freah towels and fruit cocktails, wow! The hotel it self was outstanding, staff were brilltant the rooms were so well decorated and ours looked out onto the sea which was a bonus. Food Glourious food glourious!what a chioce freah omlets every morning made to your perfection, four different resurants every night all of an a la carte standard,my favourite was the Le point resurant which offered a full and large buffet. Once on holiday we experiences the wounders that make uo Mauritius from the sugar factories to quad biking through the sugar groves and mountains! We even experienced a helicopter ride which words can not explain. Overall the best holidy I have ever had and I would recommed all those who want to go to book staight away, you wont be dissapointed!
