Not as idyllic as the postcards
Nice place to visit where the people are very friendly. The beaches were clean and the water pale blue but not like you see on the post cards. Be prepared to sit on a towel on most beaches as sun beds are reserved for hotel guests only. May is winter in Barbados but would highly recommend this time of year quiet on beach and in resturants, weather was over 30 degrees C all week and only rained once a day very briefly. Plus had a real bargain with Virgin. Next time will upgrade hotel to all inclusive as food is really expensive in resturants, will get a receipt for everything you pay for, will take barbados dollars only not US and will book directly through Virgin and cut out middle man. Saying that doubt they'll be a next time!
