Me and my boyfriend went to Cyprus this year and stayed in the area of Limassol. The weather was beautiful and was still over 28 degrees at 10 o'clock on the night.
We didnt go to any clubs whilst we were there, but the bars around our hotel were great, very friendly staff the only problem was the drink prices. The choice of day trips were really good however they were very expensive so we didnt go on any of them.
The resort of Limassol was not what I was expecting at all. I was expecting a small typical beach resort. When I arrived I was surprised by the size of the resort. The city is the 2nd largest on the island and is 15km long. The city is everything you would expect from a city including big shopping areas,malls and very busy roads. The beach itself is lined with cafes and bar which turn into to lively clubs at night.
Warm Cyprus in May2009
This was my first visit to Cyprus and I plan to go again. Warm and sunny weather throughout the week, good to relax around the pool or on the beach. Tour to the Trodos Mountains was fascinating. Good shopping in old Limmasol, warm, friendly and helpful people. Managed to find some restaurants offering authentic local food but had to do some research to locate.
