If you love good food and sun...

We would recommend the Louis Imperial Beach Hotel to anyone - lovely staff and superb food with more than enough variety to suit everyone, all of great quality. There are also a number of nearby restaurants, and every one which we tried was a place you wanted to go back to. Don't come here if you're on a diet. Do come here if you care about good food!

Very little entertainment but good food

Stayed in Hotel Agapinor, the evening meals, although not a great deal in choice was more than made up for by quality and range over the week, no chips, but lots of ways to cook potatoes . Breakfast not great but adequate. There was very little in the way of night time entertainment, only two nights. Hotel long way from tourist area, but near markets. All in all good holiday, good weather, but amazed how the euro has trebled the prices since we were last in Cyrus 5 years ago.

I was surprised by the size of Paphos. I stayed in Kato Paphos and much prefer this area as it is really close to the harbour which is lovely by day or night. I was a little bit disappointed by the beaches, however many hotel have their own private beaches. Their is plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes and budgets.

Wonderful Hotel at Crown Resorts Horizon Coral Bay

A wonderful holiday. The hotel was perfect - clean/well organised/great facilities -indoor swimming pool with fitness centre, three pools, very large gardens next to pool area offering much shade when required/good food with many choices. Some people complained about lack of choice but don't see why!!!!! Staff very helpful and efficient and had great sense of humour. Entertainment was very good with variety of acts. We loved Coral Bay itself and watched the wonderful sunsets over the bay from our room in the hotel. I can honestly say that I think it was the best holiday we have had.

Good Autumn break in Paphos

First time in Cyprus: enjoyed lovely hot weather and great beaches. Stayed at The Louis King Jason Apartment Hotel. Excellent service, good pool, loads of sunbeds. Cannot speak highly enough of the friendly helpfulness of manager and staff. Sailed up the coast one day and drove up into the Troodos Mountains another. Fabulous views. Hardly saw another car on the Cedar Valley route (which is now a properly surfaced road but narrow and bendy). Ate in friendly, reasonably priced restaurants with good food each evening (more expensive at the harbour though). Clean sandy beach nearby at Coral Bay. We'll go back again. However next time we'll probably hire a car independently and not through the tour operator.

Holiday in Cyprus

We booked a holiday to Cyprus for late Sept to a studio apartment in Paphos call Plankitos, this was off Tomb of the kings road and was located quite near the old town, and a bus journey from the harbour.
The apartment was basic and the beds were hard the studio was tired however when we ask for anything the staff we very obliging. Phaphos has become quite torist now and again a little tired and in need of TLC. The weather was very good and a bit hotter than should be expected for the time of year, and of course the euro exchange made things that much more expensive. Over all we had a good holiday although would not choose to go back and would also only consider one bedroom and above in future.

Lovely holiday shame about the transfer/rep

This small hotel excellent with very attentive staff. Resort just right for us, especially by the harbour. Specifically recommend Nicandros. Rep was only available by appointment and the transfer back to the airport arrived 45 minutes late! Therefore no time in duty free and sat 9 rows apart from husband.

Stayin at the Kissos

We stayed at Hotel Kissos. Friends were getting married in Paphos and had been highly recommended the hotel. This recommendation was not wrong. We had a fab time and we couldn't complain about one thing. Accommodation great, clean and staff very helpful and pleasant. Pools were great - although busy but we didn't mind that. We love to have a laugh and meet other people. Food was great in the hotel - honestly we couldn't complain about 1 thing! Definitely recommend this for couples and families.

hot and relaxing holiday

have been to cyprus before near ayia napa, paphos is a lot quieter and beaches are not as good but having said that it was still a lovely holiday. We hired a car and explored most of the Island, Iwould recomend any one to do this as you see much more and go at your own pace. Love cyprus and would go back.

First visit but hope to go again

This was a first visit to Cyprus. We went to Crown Resort Horizon Hotel on all inclusive at Coral Bay a few km north of Paphos.
The hotel was great. No trouble getting sun loungers after a leisurely breakfast! Modern and very clean. The food was good, no real complaints but have had better choice elsewhere. Don't want to be too critical as the quality was good and salads, vegetables and choice of meats, pasta rice and potatoes available.
The beach at Coral Bay was pretty though there was a charge for sun beds and parasols, and the hotel was well placed amongst the bars, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.
Access to Paphos was easy. We caught the local bus just outside the hotel to visit the Tomb of Kings, Paphos market and Paphos harbour and fascinating mosaic floored houses. We might have hired a car and gone to the Troudos mountains which are supposed to lead through some unspoilt villages but in a week we didn't have time.
The entertainment was adequate and the animation team friendly but not pushy.
This particular resort suited us very well as mature adults. Our children (teenagers) would have been bored as it is quite a sedate resort.

Quiet Paphos

If you want a quiet holiday and an almost home from home (but sunnier and much hotter) then this is an ideal place to chill out. The language and food as well as driving on the left makes the experience very easy.

A Quiet retreat to Coral Bay

The area was lovely, we didn't make it to the main beach but the one near our hotel was not suitable for bathing. It was a clean resort and the local people were fantastic. I probably wouldn't go all-inclusive again as the hotel entertainment was not great and there were some lovely places to eat out on the main street.

excellent holiday

We booked a last minute holiday to Cyprus we had a fabulous time. Paphos has to be one of our favourite places everybody there is just so friendly and helpful and the sun shines every day. The place is exceptionally clean and child friendly. The only complaint we had was we only booked 15kg each and got charged for the extra weight in our bags at £8/kg at the airport so when booking your holiday get the extra allowance or make sure your suitcase does not go over the weight the airport staff are very strict. Otherwise a fabulous holiday can't wait to go back.

Home from Home

We love Paphos, its people are so friendly, its food is wonderful and the smell of flowers or fruit is in the air. I have been to Paphos 7 times now and we are going again in October. We always hire a car as there is so much to see and they even drive on the same side of the road as we do which is a bonus.

we travelled out on 22 april with xl airlines who i thought were excellent the service was outstanding, arriving in paphos for my third time was just as exciting as ever. the sun was shining as we picked up our car a definate must i think for paphos so you can take full advantage of all the resort has to offer. coral bay beach is so clean and the water is inviting you can hire a sun lounger and shade for a small fee and spend a great day relaxing, the resturants in coral bay are all of high standard but my favourite and best value for money are the neptune and the coral king, all in all i would recommend cyprus to everyone especially coral bay in paphos!!

This was my fifth time to Cyprus but first in Paphos and it certainly didn't disappoint! The main thing I have always noticed about Cyprus is how friendly the Cypriots are and how much you feel at home. Paphos is a lovely town with some fantastic hotels and apartments to choose from. It is also a good base from which to explore the surrounding area, the villages of Polis, Latchi and Pissouri are well worth a visit.

The standard rooms had a sea view and also dressing gowns and slippers were provided. The hotel is approx 2km from the centre of Paphos an easy walk. Paphos has something for everyone, lots of shops including a Debenhams and a good selection of lively bars and clubs if required. Highly recommoned.

We went to Paphos for the first time last year and it was fantastic. Cyprus really is a beautiful country. The locals are great they are so friendly and will do all they can to help you. The harbour is a great place with plenty of shops and restaurants. This is known as Kato Paphos. The water park is brilliant. You pay to get in then you are given a wrist band and when you want something to eat or drink they scan the band. And you pay your bill on the way out. This is ideal because you can leave your possesions in the lockers and not have to worry about leaving them by your sun bed. You just go and have a good time on the slides or have a relaxing day. There is also old Paphos up in the hills. It also has plenty of shops and a market . We made so many friends there, even the children loved it. We hired a car for the two weeks. I would advise it as you get to see so much more of Paphos. We went horse riding at Georges ranch: it was great. Scuba diving is a must. We also visited a little fishing village called Latchi: a must for all you fish lovers. We loved Paphos so much that we are seriously thinking of going to live there.
