Cruising the Nile

We recently returned from a Nile cruise on board the ship Magic 1. The cruise was for 7 days and was hectic with a lot of early starts.
We started off gently with mere 8am starts...but it got earlier as the cruise progressed!
The sites we saw were great and we had the benefit of an Egyptologist who went to each site with us.
The cruise wasn't all hard work, we had a lot of free time and as the boat was all inclusive there was no shortage of food and drink.
My wife follows a special diet and the staff were very helpful with this.
Don't do it if you don't like the heat or walking(you walk for England...or so it seems at times!).
There was entertainment most nights including a fancy dress evening(Arab style)which everybody took part in and seemed to enjoy.
Walking across 2 other cruise boats to get to the shore some days seemed strange but you get used to it as they often double or triple berth boats alongside the riverside.
Shopping is a different experience in Egypt....eat your heart out M&S!If you don't like bartering you'll be ripped off so join in the fun or don't shop!
All in all it was a good, enjoyable cruise which combines culture with some fun and relaxation.
