Amazing holiday in Egypt
We have just got back on 14th august after 2 weeks at sharm there is plenty to do the snorkling is excellent we went on the bus to cairo which is a long day but the pyramids and the egyptian museum well worth a visit.
One week stay at Hilton Sharks Bay
An unfortunate 4 hour delay was soon forgotten when we arrived at the Hilton Sharks Bay about 11pm. We were able to get freshly made pizzas & pasta along with drinks from very accommodating, friendly staff. The vast majority of staff were very helpful & huge fun. Their command of the English language was outstanding. They made every effort to have fun with the guests. The food was fine & varied with different nationality themed nights. Have to say we enjoyed the Egyptian night best. The animation team were friendly & fun & frequently to be found around the pool area with lots of activities going on. Sunbeds were available but not necessarily in a sunny or shaded area - depending on what you needed. There were far more sunbeds & much more luxurious ones available in the other hotel across the road. There are lots of water dispensers around the complex so no excuses for dehydration. There was an endless supply of drinking water in the room fridge. If you are keen on snorkelling you can hire them for a deposit of 400 Egyptian pounds refundable on return by 5pm. Alternatively take your own mask & snorkel & a pair of waterproof shoes. The marine life is without exception the best I have seen, (having been to the Barrier reef - disappointing, Thailand & the Philippines. The marine life varies daily. There was unbroken sunshine in cloudless skies. If you want to dive look around at the various companies including what is available/included via your rep. Take a packed lunch with you to reduce costs. Prices can vary. If you want to dive at Ras Mohammed you will need to buy the relevant visa at the airport. We went on the Bedouin camel night out, the Olympic rep was well informed & entertaining as was the hotel rep. We would happily return to this hotel. Our group consisted of parents & 3 kids aged 20, 18, & 15.
Great Holiday at Dreams Beach Resort Sharm el Sheikh
Just got back from a great holiday at DREAMS Beach Resort Sharm el Sheikh. We went with 3 children, 2 in thier twenties and 1 in teens. All had a great time. Had read some reviews before we went but the food, rooms, weather and diving were excellent. Evening entertainment left a little to be desired and if you don't stand your ground with the Eastern Europeans then they will push in front of you in any queue! Try the beach grillhouse for lunch and dinner, EXCELLENT! And you can go as many times AS YOU LIKE. 2 day trip to Cairo was amazing, great guide Mustapha from Blue sky tours. Hotel staff couldn't do enough for you - BEFORE we tipped!! would recommend this hotel - defo 4 stars but excellent value for money.
Grand Hotel - with many many steps to climb
Great place to snorkel and to soak up the sun. Didn\'t go far as we were only there for one week.
SOL Y MAR ROYAL SHARMING INN 4*
In Egypt, we rested not the first time and knew that we were going on, tolerable service, the food is tolerable - nothing more. The most important thing for the sake of which go to Egypt - Red Sea, and if you choose to resort more expensive it is certainly corals, lots of colorful underwater. At first everything was not bad, because the staff decently polite, but since we left a dollar in the room was always clean, fresh ...
At free beach carries a free shuttle bus is convenient, fast as the distance a little more than a mile. There is a bar and free drinks too. Sunbeds should grab quickly because a large percentage of broken. The weather was good so plenty underwater with a mask, got a lot of positive impressions from what he saw. But it is the sea, this is not the merit of the hotel, because some time had to rest on a wild beach and impressions were the same, even better! How it all began. In the middle of the holiday started a small storm, it happened closer to the dinner, and out of the water all turn out. OK. Let's go to dinner. The next day, as it turned out, our plastic pontoon broke down during a storm. The sea was a small wave, and people began to go themselves in the water, while security guard periodically turn out to exit for all people. So someone is injured his foot on coral and more or who were not allowed to water. This went on for several days, although the bus used to driving people to the beach, while the administration did not warn guests that access to water is closed. Then when the weather was perfect and the pontoon has already repaired administration completely lost all conscience, they shamelessly hung an inscription that the weather will be bad for another three days. Security suddenly ceased to understand and Russian and English but shown at the inscription, and the question of why the 300-meters other beaches are open, they answered "do not understand English"
But why should we arrived in Sharm El Sheikh? Eat them "fine food" or swim in the sea, watching corals, fish? rhetorical question ... without the sea of Egypt as a resort would be folded, there is not something to do Egypt. If you were already in Egypt and had seen on their curiosity and then sooner or later, you understand - Sea and coral is all they have and it is something for which there should go!
Separately: it is indifferent lady, with blond hair that sits opposite manager. When people were outraged and complained to her about outrageous breach on the beach, she replied with displeasure that already report... Well of course who are we? Cattle ... She\'s so pleasure often shoulders with managerial class in this hotel. And when I think there was a glaring case in the restaurant, she quickly grabbed a dish from our table, and dashed off somewhere. ))) she did not know that we all to film...
Neither any apology from the administration or proud chef, but be mouldy found below the cake!!! is not like a fly or ****roach - MOLD poison! Moreover, my son suffers from severe allergy to mouldy, and if it is eaten?! In general, Egyptian cuisine is specific odd, as in this hotel even gave the crabs once, but it seemed to me along with branchiae - so that the "aroma" was that knock-down!
In general, with respect to this hotel were negative but if you fail to find a replacement for a rich underwater world of the Red Sea ... will go Egypt again.
Park Inn Hotel
My daughter (13) loved the water slide complex and made lots of friends during the week. It is absolutely fantastic for families with small children. My son (15) had less to do. The beach is not by the hotel but a short walk away. There really was not too much to do at night and the TV reception wasn't great. The noise from the Bedouin tent (entertainment) was horrific.
The excursions were great - boat and snorkelling to Ras Mohammed, quad bikes and camel safari to a Bedouin village - really enjoyable.
We had lovely warm, sunny weather. The food was bland but fine but there were lots of queues for glasses for drinks etc.
A great place for a short winter break in the sun.
The room was large and very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Relaxing Holiday in Egypt
This was our 2nd visit to the Amwaj Oyoun Hotel and Resort (formerly known as the Millenium Oyoun). We chose this hotel again as it was relatively small (250) rooms with direct access to the beach and plenty of space around the pool with lovely grounds. Excellent friendly staff, very clean hotel. Only downside was the dining room layout and serving of food. You had to queue up/fight your way through the Russian guests. Not much variety of food between lunch and dinner. (lots of chicken or beef dishes). Lovley new pier/boardwalk down to the reef and plenty of space on the beach between sunloungers. We would recommend it and will probably return again next year.
The holiday from hell
Sharm El Sheihk is lovely. The weather is great(apart from floods every 16 years. The only downside was the horrendous hotel.
Fabulous holiday at Park Inn
We had reservations about this hotel but how wrong we were. We had a fabulous first holiday in Sharm. the weather was fantastic and the hotel we couldn't fault. the staff were very helpful and the food was good. The dining room was a little like the works canteen but it was the most friendly place we have been and the staff work very hard to make you welcome. the place was extremely clean everywhere and the staff were always cleaning. An excellent place for children and couples alike. 2 Huge swimming pools and a large water park catering from the big slides to very small children. All round an excellent holiday will certainly go again.
Amazing holiday at the hilton stunning hotel!!!
we had a brilliant time at the Hilton, with its 7 swimming pools and lovely grounds and beach!!! brill is well recommended to try!!!
Not for people wishing to see fish
If you are looking for winter sun then staying in Nabq Bay area is fine. If you would like to see the wonderful sea life (without going on paid excursions) then don't stay at any hotel in this area. The coral is such a long way from the beach and even the hotels, which have built pontoons, have built on and around dead coral, which attracts very little marine life. Much better down the road at Sharks Bay.
The Grand Hotel
On arrival at 23:30 (50 minute transfer once three other drop offs had been made) we received the best welcome to any Hotel we have experienced. The usual standpeid to the main desk replaced with smiling staff directing us to a bar where very refreshing drinks were waiting. After filling out the guest form and indentifing our bags we were shown to our standard room (No' 233), where we found some deserts and sliced fruit in the fridge. Our room was typical of what we had experianced in Egypt, being a good size with large bed, balcony, onsuite with shower and TV. Our room also had a fridge though not stocked, which I thought was a little below 5* standard. The room was generally in good order as the Hotel is only 18 months old, and the only issue we had was the air conditioning that was fixed less then 2 after reporting it.
The grounds are just fantastic and very well kept, and although the buildings are close together it doesn't feel crowed but feel more like a village,, but be aware there are many many steps. With 8 pools there is a lot of space to swim or just relax and cool off, there is also bars near the pools and beach serving snacks and drinks, though not all serve alcoholics drinks and none serve spirits before 6pm. The beach is very nice and will get full first with many beds reserved by 5:30am, though the Hotel policy is to remove towels left unattended for more than 2 hours. Entry to the sea is via a jetty and steps where the water is very deep with no shallow area for non swimmers, but snorkelers will find loads of fish hanging around here.
There are 3 buffet restaurants and 5 all la carte (the cliff sea food restaurant not all inclusive in the evening) with the latter requiring booking 24hrs in advance. Throughout are week we found the buffet food to be lacking in choice and a long way short of 5* standard, also the service can be slow. The only recommendation we would make would be the Caribbean on the beach in the evening. We would also suggest using Lobby 2 for evening drinks as here it is much quieter than the main lobby area and the view is great from the terrace.
A lot of previous reports have mentioned the massage and tattoo sellers consistently bothering them, to be honest we didn't find this to be the case being asked only 3 times during our week. If you do book something with them however don't expect your appointment time to be kept, you will get your treatment done on Egyptian time but pay European prices.
All in all we found this Hotel gave us very pleasant holiday and we recommend for couples and teenage families, though not for young families as we didn't see that much for younger children to be entertained. Also any concerns or suggestions we had or made at the care meeting did appear to be listened to, and it appears the management are very keen on getting it right.
All in at Tropicana Sea Beach
An excellent week a beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, with friendly and always helpful staff in all areas and at all levels of seniority.
Food plentiful and varied, though the hard-working dining hall waiters always seemed to be slightly behind demand. Two on-site restaurants (Chinese and Italian) offered first class food and service.
Fabulous pool arrangement, and towels were freely available... alas, never quite enough sunbeds due to allowing 'towel reservations'. The animation team were tremendously energetic, with a wide range of day and evening entertainments... just as well, as outside the hotel there is very little to see or do.
Transfer to and from airport was efficient.
Reef Oasis Beach Resort
Me and my partner spent a week at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort, staying in the new part of the resort. Although further away from the beach, the rooms were very modern and were superior to rooms in the older part of the resort. We suffered with a bout of food poisoning which our rep put down to the 'Egyptian belly' which people are prone to get. However, a group of us were sure this was more than a bug. In spite of this, we really enjoyed our break in Sharm el Sheikh and will definitely be returning, although probably not to the same resort.
Brilliant holiday at Tropicana Club Azure
We have just returned from an amazing break at the Tropicana, we went for a total chill out holiday doing nothing but relaxing and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is only 10 months old and the rooms are very spacious, exceptionally clean (as is the rest of the hotel as they are always cleaning) and well furnished. The weather was fantastic and the staff very friendly and willing to do anything they could to make your stay more enjoyable. Definitely one to go back to if this is the sort of relaxing holiday you want.
Amazing holiday at St. George Three Corner Resort, Sharm El Sheik
This hotel is more than we could have hoped for. The staff were friendly, totally helpful and really went out of their way to make you feel welcome, especially Michael, Guest Relations. The rooms are really large and spotlessly clean, in fact they are always cleaning the hotel. The food was excellent plenty of choice and the desserts were gorgeous. There is a free shuttle bus to their own Beach, which is very good. We have only praise for the hotel, management and staff. Tracy and Andy the Reps really went out of their way to help. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, young people, couples with children and indeed older people, it suits everyone.
Fab holiday at Hilton Sharks Bay
We have just got back from a fab 2 weeks at the Hilton Sharks Bay, the staff are all great and really helpful, the location is great and the rooms were clean and comfortable, there are loads of bars and the food was really good esp the set menu in Il Rustico, we will def be going back!
Fabulous time at Hilton Sharks Bay
Returned last week from a 1 week stay at Hilton Sharks Bay with my partner and I could not miss the opportunity to tell everyone how amazing this hotel was. A whole new part had recently opened (so we upgraded to this part) which was practically a hotel on its own; altogether there were 629 rooms and yet we never felt as though anything was too crowded. There was no need to get up at a ridiculous time in order to get a lounger by the pool or at the beach which made our holiday all the more relaxing. There are loads of pools and the three at the new part are HUGE with the middle one done out like a beach... perfect for young children. There was plenty of choice at all the restaurants in the evenings and BBQ during the day as well as burgers and cheese toasties at the pool bars. What made the holiday perfect for us was the amazing snorkeling at the hotels reef. I was worried beforehand that the reef area would be small and crowded but there was plenty of room and so many beautiful fish to see. We are already planning our next visit for the same time next year but this time we'll be staying for 2 weeks.
Excellent stay at Mirabel Beach in Sharm, Egypt
Have just returned from the best holiday ever at the Mirabel Beach Hotel in Sharm. Weather was perfect, accommodation very good, staff excellent and the food was better than usual. Hotel is a little remote but perfect if you want to 'get away from it all'. A haven!
Fab holiday
I stayed in the Coral sea Resort, my immediate thoughts were wow! The people were fantastic they were always helpful and could not do enough to help you. In Nama Bay there are many shops to browse through and many bargains to be had especially paintings these are great! The scuba diving was ace and it is another world below the sea well worth a go. There are loads of excursions to try too just see the rep in the hotel! I went in October and the weather was still 100 degrees and not a cloud in the sky for the whole 2 weeks holiday. It was great value for money as it was all inclusive we only spent £200 in 2 weeks and that was with presents. My overall thoughts were fantastic holiday and would not hesitate to go back, am hoping to go back in the near future.
Stayed at Sheraton Resort. Accommodation is nice, considering we are staying at the resort and not in the hotel as Sheraton has hotel, resort and villas. The best thing to do in Sharm is snorkelling!! Wake up in the morning, have breakfast and then go to the beach and snorkelling ! Weather was lovely, even though it was a bit windy. Went to climb Mt. Sinai, it was very exhausting but the sunrise was nice. There is plenty to do in Sharm, also you can go for a day trip to Cairo by air, it was not cheap bur surely it was worth it. Looking forward to go back again and do the nile cruise.
I stayed at the Hilton Sharks Bay Hotel in the Sharks Bay area of Sharm El Sheikh. The hotel is a great 4* All inclusive in a fairly secluded area on it's own private beach.Excellent diving and snorkelling is available directly from the hotel beach and equipment is available for hire.Facilities include outdoor swimming pool, two restaurants, two bars, tennis courts, squash courts, several shops and a health club with gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and massage. The hotel is only a ten minute transfer from the airport and Naama bay with it's wide range of shops, bars and nightclubs is only fifteen minutes away and approx £3.00 in a taxi.
